VOLUNTEER TRAINING
As a volunteer, it’s important that you truly understand what HLCR is all about, so HLCR requires that every volunteer undergo Volunteer Training at the shelter. In training, you will work one-on-one with an HLSPCA staff member or our volunteer trainer. Training is scheduled at a time convenient to you and is usually about 2-3 hours.
During training, you will become familiar with our staff members and our procedures for different volunteer opportunities and maintaining our facilities. At the conclusion of your training, you will know about our operations and how to sign up for volunteer activities.
